Personal data collected
Data is collected when a customer browses the website, creates an account, logs in, places an order, subscribes to the newsletter, uses the contact forms, or shares information from the website via social media sharing buttons. The data collected in this manner includes first and last name, mailing address, login ID, encrypted password, phone number, email address, IP address, order history, preferences, as well as delivery issues and complaints. Whether each piece of data is required or optional is indicated at the time of collection by an asterisk; certain data is also collected automatically as you browse the site.
This information is used by Brigade Mondaine to process, bill, ship, and track orders; provide customer service; prevent payment fraud; and, if necessary, collect on unpaid orders. The processing of your data is based, depending on the circumstances, on the performance of the contract between us, on compliance with our legal obligations—particularly accounting and tax obligations—on our legitimate interest in fraud prevention, or on your consent when required, particularly for subscribing to the newsletter.
With the exception of your password, your data may be shared with our delivery and payment service providers for the purposes of order processing, customer service, and customer relationship management. When required by law, we will obtain your consent or offer you the option to opt out before any of your data is shared.
Cookies
Brigade Mondaine uses cookies, in particular to recognize customers when they log in to the site. A banner appears at the bottom of the site to obtain your active consent for all cookies and trackers used, whether they are cookies necessary for the site to function, audience measurement cookies, or advertising cookies. These cookies are stored for a maximum of thirteen months. You can change your preferences at any time via the cookie management module or disable cookies in your browser settings; please note that disabling cookies may prevent you from accessing certain essential features of the site.
Website traffic is tracked using Google Analytics, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, which places cookies to analyze traffic and user navigation patterns. These cookies are placed only after your consent has been obtained, and the data may be transferred outside the European Union in accordance with the safeguards provided by Google. You can view Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Newsletter
Brigade Mondaine gives you the opportunity to stay informed about new products and promotional offers by subscribing to the newsletter, based on your consent. You may withdraw this consent, update your information, or unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link provided for this purpose at the bottom of each newsletter, or by sending your request via email to contact@old.brigademondaine.fr.
Social networks
The modules available on the site—including share buttons—allow users to “like” or share a product, an article, or any other information from the site on social media. Using these services may result in the collection and exchange of data between the relevant social media platforms and Brigade Mondaine, with each social media platform acting as a separate data controller for the data it collects through its own tools. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these social media platforms to learn what information they collect. You may also log out of social media before visiting our website if you do not want them to collect your information.
Length of time personal data is kept
The customer’s personal data is retained for as long as necessary to manage orders and related services, such as warranties and returns. French law also mandates certain retention periods: customer account data is retained for three years, and billing data for six years. Data on prospects and individuals subscribed to the newsletter who have never placed an order is retained for three years from the date of the last active contact. Digital data is protected and secured within our IT system using appropriate tools, while data stored on paper is kept in a secure, locked room equipped with an alarm system.
Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and the French Data Protection Act, as currently in effect, you have the right to access, correct, delete, object to, and restrict the processing of your data, and—under the conditions set forth by the regulations—to data portability. When processing is based on your consent, you may also withdraw it at any time, without this affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out prior to such withdrawal.
You may exercise these rights by sending your request via email to pdp@old.brigademondaine.fr, or by mail to MAISON BM, 4 rue du Fer à Moulin, 75005 Paris, France. You may be asked to provide proof of identity if there is reasonable doubt regarding your identity. Your requests will be processed as soon as possible.
If, after contacting us, you believe that your rights have not been respected, you have the right to file a complaint with the National Commission for Information Technology and Civil Liberties.
